Job summary

Onward Education is seeking a full-time, in-person Occupational Therapist to support a school in LaPorte County, Indiana for the 2026-2027 school year. Start ASAP with a 05/28/2027 end date.

On-Site, Full-Time hours for the 2026-2027 school year. The OT will collaborate with teachers, support staff and families, providing therapy services to enhance fine and gross motor skills, sensory processing and daily self-care tasks.

Qualifications

• Valid Indiana OT licensure or eligibility.
• Experience providing occupational therapy in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with teachers, support staff and families.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of adaptive equipment and environmental modifications.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in developing fine motor skills (handwriting, cutting, tool manipulation).
• Support gross motor development (balance, posture, coordination) for participation in activities.
• Help students adapt to classroom tools and materials, including desks, pencils and technology.
• Promote independence in self-care tasks (eating, dressing, toileting) when needed.
• Address sensory processing challenges impacting focus and learning.
