Job summary

Onward Education in Dakota County, MN is seeking a full-time Occupational Therapist to support students for the 2026-2027 school year. The role is in-person, onsite, with a 37.5-hour week and an ASAP start through November 24, 2026.

Qualified candidates will hold Minnesota OT licensure and have experience in school settings or collaboration with school staff to develop effective intervention plans and accommodations under IEPs and 504 Plans.

Qualifications

• Active Minnesota OT licensure.
• Experience providing therapy in a school setting preferred.
• Ability to evaluate student needs and develop intervention plans.
• Strong collaboration and communication with school staff and families.
• Knowledge of IEPs and 504 Plans.

Responsibilities

• Assist students in developing fine and gross motor skills to support classroom participation.
• Support students in mastering daily self-care tasks such as dressing and eating.
• Address sensory processing challenges and create strategies for sensory-friendly environments.
• Recommend and train students on adaptive equipment to meet individual needs.
• Collaborate with educators and families to implement accommodations and support strategies.
