Job summary

BrightStar Care of Amarillo is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide home-based care to pediatric and adult patients in Hereford and surrounding communities.

Applicants should have an active Texas OT license, at least 1 year of OT experience, and current BLS/CPR certification. A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are essential for this PRN/home health role.

Qualifications

• Active, unrestricted Texas OT license.
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience.
• Current BLS/CPR certification.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Able to work independently in home health.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate patients and identify OT needs.
• Develop goals and treatment plans.
• Provide therapy visits and monitor progress.
• Provide clinical oversight to COTAs.
• Review COTA documentation and communicate updates.
• Maintain accurate clinical records.

What You’ll Do

• Evaluate patients and identify their occupational therapy needs
• Develop individualized goals and treatment plans
• Provide therapy visits and monitor patient progress
• Provide clinical oversight to assigned COTAs
• Review COTA documentation and communicate patient updates with the care team
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical records

What You’ll Need

• Active, unrestricted Texas Occupational Therapist license
• Minimum 1 year of OT experience
• Current BLS/CPR certification
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Comfortable working independently in a home health setting
• Own device and reliable internet connection required to access your schedule and complete charting
