Oxford Consulting Services, Inc. is seeking a certified Occupational Therapist to deliver K-12 school-based services. The role involves two 30-minute sessions weekly, one-on-one with students and collaboration with school staff to design customized programs.

A holistic approach and adaptability to each client’s environment are essential for progress. The ideal candidate holds an NJ OT license and NJ School Certification, with pediatric experience and strong clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Active NJ OT license and NJ School Certification
• Pediatric population experience preferred
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills are required
• MS degree in Occupational Therapy or higher
• At least 2 years experience as an OT
• 1 year of school-based or clinical experience with ages 3–18
• Experience with IEP services and assessments preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage a K-12 caseload with one-on-one student sessions
• Assess client needs and tailor treatment plans and interventions
• Implement client treatment methodologies and provide guidance
• Deliver therapy to students with autism spectrum disorder and sensory needs
• Plan, implement and monitor IEP goals and progress
• Educate students and families on strategies to improve task engagement
• Provide care and instruction to families and caregivers
• Maintain progress notes and confidentiality per HIPAA and regulations
• Prepare progress reports and maintain data on client outcomes
• Coordinate with school staff and other disciplines to support client goals

Oxford Consulting Services is looking for a certified, and patient first mentality Occupational Therapist to provide K-12 school-based services 2 times a week for 30 minitues per session. Providers will work one on one with students, as well as other staff members and disciplines to provide customized programs and intervention to meet each student’s goals and needs. The ideal candidate will utilize a holistic approach, and will be able to adapt the environment to the client to best ensure client progress.

Job Responsibilities:

• K - 12 caseload
• Address client’s progress and engagement in occupations that affect client’s health, well-being and living quality
• Determine and implement the client’s treatment methodology, as well as guidance in interventions
• Perform therapeutic services to clients with autism spectrum disorder and sensory needs.
• Planning, engagement, and implementation of IEPs
• Educate clients on better practices of approaching tasks and provide mentorship on how to work towards small goals.
• Provide proper care and instruction to family members and caregivers
• Oversight, data collection and correction on client progress towards long- and short-term treatment markers
• Prepare progress reports
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• New Jersey Occupational Therapy (OT) license
• NJ School Certification
• Pediatric Experience
• Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
• MS degree or greater in Occupational Therapy
• 2 years working experience as an Occupational Therapist
• 1 year of school-based or clinical experience; children ages 3-18
• Experience in IEP services and assessments preferred
