Oxford Consulting Services, Inc. in New Jersey seeks a licensed Occupational Therapist to provide K-12 school-based services. The OT will work one-on-one with students and collaborate with staff to design customized intervention plans aligned with IEPs.

The ideal candidate has NJ OT license, NJ School Certification, pediatric experience, and a master’s or higher in OT, with 2 years OT experience and 1 year in school-based or clinical settings. Equal opportunity employer.

  • MS degree or higher in Occupational Therapy.
  • At least 2 years of OT experience; 1 year in school-based or pediatric settings.
  • Experience with IEP services and assessments preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain a 12-month K-12 caseload.
  • Deliver one-on-one and collaborative therapy sessions.
  • Develop and implement IEP-aligned treatment plans.
  • Collaborate with teachers and staff to support student goals.
  • Document progress and prepare progress reports.
  • Ensure confidentiality under HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Providers will work one on one with students, as well as other staff members and disciplines to provide customized programs and intervention to meet each student’s goals and needs. Job Responsibilities:
  • K - 12 caseload
  • Address client’s progress and engagement in occupations that affect client’s health, well-being and living quality
  • Determine and implement the client’s treatment methodology, as well as guidance in interventions
  • Perform therapeutic services to clients with autism spectrum disorder and sensory needs.
  • Planning, engagement, and implementation of IEPs
  • Educate clients on better practices of approaching tasks and provide mentorship on how to work towards small goals.
  • Provide proper care and instruction to family members and caregivers
  • Oversight, data collection and correction on client progress towards long- and short-term treatment markers
  • Prepare progress reports
  • Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)
Requirements:
  • New Jersey Occupational Therapy (OT) license
  • NJ School Certification
  • Pediatric Experience
  • Strong Clinical & Interpersonal Skills
  • MS degree or greater in Occupational Therapy
  • 2 years working experience as an Occupational Therapist
  • 1 year of school-based or clinical experience; children ages 3-18
  • Experience in IEP services and assessments preferred
