Job summary

Morningstar Residential Care Center in Oswego, NY is seeking an Occupational Therapist to provide skilled OT services at a full-time capacity. You will work on individualized treatment plans, perform evaluations, and collaborate with the care team to enhance residents’ independence and quality of life.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
• Bachelor’s Degree required (Master’s preferred, if applicable).
• Certified and holds a valid Occupational Therapy license in the state of practice.
• Geriatric experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide skilled OT services in accordance with physician orders and professional standards.
• Develop individualized treatment plans focused on functional independence and daily living skills.
• Perform evaluations, annual screens, and nursing-requested assessments.
• Document treatments, progress, and billing in compliance with state and federal regulations.
• Educate residents and families on adaptive techniques and equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing staff, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Participate in care meetings, in-services, and ongoing education.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and regulatory compliance.
