Job summary

Prime Healthcare's St. Mary’s Medical Center in Blue Springs, MO is seeking an Occupational Therapist (OT, OTR, OTR/L) to join our inpatient rehabilitation team.

The role focuses on rehabilitation, functional mobility, ADLs, safety, and patient independence in an acute care hospital setting. You will treat adult and geriatric patients with neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, post-surgical recovery, stroke, and general medical conditions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Occupational Therapy is required.
• Current state OT license and BLS (AHA) certification needed.
• Prior inpatient hospital or acute care OT experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients in an acute hospital setting to improve mobility and independence
• Develop individualized treatment plans for medically complex adults and geriatrics
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support timely discharge planning
• Educate patients and caregivers on adaptive strategies and equipment use
• Document evaluations, progress, and discharge recommendations in the EMR

Location: St. Mary's Medical Center- Blue Springs, MO

We are seeking a compassionate Occupational Therapist (OT, OTR, OTR/L) to join our acute care hospital rehabilitation team. This role delivers occupational therapy services in an inpatient hospital setting, focusing on rehabilitation, functional mobility, activities of daily living (ADLs), safety, and patient independence.

The Occupational Therapist will treat adult and geriatric patients with diagnoses including neurological conditions, orthopedic injuries, post‑surgical recovery, stroke, and general medical conditions.
