Job summary

Koch Foods Inc. is seeking an Occupational Health Nurse or similar professional to provide medical care and act as a first responder on site in Tennessee. The role supports Safety Managers and coordinates health services across the facility.

The ideal candidate will hold an LPN license or EMT/Paramedic credentials, with COHN certification or willingness to obtain. Prior occupational health experience and knowledge of OSHA/ADA/FMLA regulations are highly valued.

Qualifications

• Current LPN license or EMT/Paramedic certification required.
• COHN certification or willingness to obtain.
• Prior occupational health experience preferred.
• Ability to ensure confidentiality of employee health information.
• Knowledge of OSHA, ADA, FMLA regulations.
• Excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide medical care ranging from minor incidents to acting as a first responder.
• Support and assist Safety Managers in coordinating and managing health services.
• Maintain workers compensation information for claims, and help schedule doctor visits and transportation.
• Coordinate and perform pre-employment physicals and drug testing (post-offer, accident, and random).
• Develop and implement employee health and wellness programs such as health assessments, immunization programs, medical care, wellness education, counseling, etc.
• Maintain active and positive ongoing relationship with local occupational health clinic.
• Manage hearing conservation, heat stress, respiratory protection and ergonomics programs including development and delivery of employee training.
• All other relevant duties to the job.
