Job summary

CORE Occupational Medicine is seeking an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant (Advanced Practice Provider) to join our Houston, TX area team on a PRN basis. This role focuses on pre-placement physicals, occupational health assessments, and return-to-work evaluations within a dynamic worksite setting.

The ideal candidate will hold NP/PA licensure with national board certification and current state licensure, and have experience in occupational health, workers' compensation,

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited PA or NP program.
• Board certification required.
• Current state license in good standing.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-placement physical examinations for new hires.
• Provide medical assessments and health services for work-related illness or injury.
• Perform return-to-work assessments to ensure fitness for duty.
• Perform fitness for duty evaluations.
• Assist with coordination of care, physician referrals, transitional duty program.
• Review and sign all EKG, pulmonary function tests, visual exams and lab tests as required.
• Maintain professional growth through approved seminars and affiliations.
• Perform other work-related duties as assigned.
