Description:

Position Purpose

As a Medical Assistant in Saint Mary's Occupational Health office, you will provide clinical and clerical support to the unit including, but not limited to, phlebotomy, EKG''s, obtaining specimens & various testing. Heavy clerical duties involving patient registration, discharge planning, scheduling referrals, chart management, and phone contact.

What you will do

In this critical role you will be part of a multi-disciplinary team, play an active part in unit shared decision making, and enjoy practice autonomy using nurse driven protocols.

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: High School Graduate
• Certification: Board certified in Phlebotomy or Medical Assistant
• Ability to pass drug screenings and background checks.

Preferred Skills:

• Demonstrated proficiency in keyboarding, transcription, record-keeping, and insurance processing. Thorough understanding of medical terminology
• Experience: One years’ experience in office/hospital setting involving phlebotomy and direct patient care.

Work Schedule:

• Per Diem - No Weekends or Holidays.
