Job summary

UVA Health seeks a dedicated, full-time Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to deliver comprehensive employee and occupational health services. The APP will assess and manage work-related injuries, exposures, and fitness-for-duty concerns, collaborating with Employee Health leadership and partners to promote safe return-to-work.

Hours are 8:00 AM–4:30 PM, Monday–Friday, with system-wide holidays. The role includes leadership, education, and program development within UVA Health’s occupational

Qualifications

• Graduate degree from an accredited graduate program (nursing or PA).
• License or license-eligible as an Advanced Practice Provider (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) in Virginia.
• Current BLS required; PALS/NRP and ACLS as position-specific.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive evaluation, diagnosis, treatment, prescribing, counseling, and follow-up for occupational health concerns.
• Manage workers’ compensation cases and collaborate with partners to coordinate care.
• Develop and implement SOPs, protocols, and guidance with leadership; participate in quality improvement.
