Job summary

Prime Occupational Medicine is seeking an experienced Occupational APP to provide treatment and physicals, document observations, and contribute to health and safety programs. The role encompasses clinician, safety inspector, educator, and program architect responsibilities.

Under supervision of an approved SP, the APP will work on-site or be readily available via telecommunications to perform exams, order labs and radiology, establish diagnoses, and coordinate follow-up care as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience as Occupational APP preferred or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of occupational medicine principles.
• Available for after-hours call coverage.
• Active APP license in Texas required.

Responsibilities

• Take histories and perform examinations including physicals, return to work, and fitness for duty evaluations.
• Order and interpret CBCs, chemistry panels, UA, and other labs as needed.
• Order and interpret radiology, pulmonary function tests, and audiograms.
• Establish medical diagnoses and treatment plans.
• Refer patients for follow-up care when indicated.
• Deliver and document all aspects of patient care.
• Provide health teaching and counseling.
• Document discharge instructions and summaries.
• Perform other clinical services within NP scope of practice.
• Supervision by an approved SP, on-site or via telecommunications.
