UVA Health seeks a dedicated, full-time Advanced Practice Provider to deliver comprehensive occupational health services. The APP evaluates and manages work-related injuries, exposures, and fitness-for-duty needs, with a focus on care coordination and education.

Working with Employee Health leadership, the APP promotes timely access to care and safe return-to-work. Scheduled hours are 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with common holiday alignment to ambulatory clinics.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited graduate program in nursing or physician assistant with a master’s degree.
• Experience in occupational/employee health is preferred.
• Licensure as an Advanced Practice Provider in Virginia (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant) with BLS; ACLS/PALS as required.

Responsabilités

• Provide comprehensive assessment, diagnosis, and management of work-related injuries and occupational health concerns.
• Manage blood and body fluid exposures and infectious disease exposure follow-up.
• Coordinate workers’ compensation care, return-to-work planning, and work restrictions as needed.
• Educate employees on exposure prevention and health risks; promote wellness and safety.
• Collaborate with Employee Health, Infection Prevention, HR, and operations to support care continuity.
• Develop and implement clinical SOPs and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
