Job summary

Lam Research Corporation is seeking an experienced Occupancy Planner to support space planning and occupancy management for the Fremont campus. You will develop layouts, coordinate moves, and ensure accurate floor plans across the portfolio.

In this role you will work with the MAC coordinator and furniture vendors, process hires and terminations, and help shape space management policies and tools. A strong background in architecture/interiors and IWMS/CAFM is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years of related experience in move management, furniture project management, space planning, or interior architecture.
• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, corporate real estate, or facilities management planning/coordination.
• Experience with IWMS/CAFM TRIRIGA and AutoCAD is required.
• Strong spatial skills and ability to translate business requirements into space plans.

• Build and maintain relationships with business units to deliver excellent customer service.
• Develop layouts for new and existing office spaces and furniture to support moves and tenant improvements.
• Coordinate move plans with the MAC coordinator and furniture vendors.

As a member of the on-site Occupancy and Space Planning team, the Occupancy Planner is responsible for space planning and programming and assists the team in developing occupancy plans and analyses. The role also processes new-hire requests, terminations, and weekly move requests, and offers opportunities to help shape and launch space management policies, standards, and processes.What you’ll doBuild and maintain strong relationships with business units to deliver excellent customer service.Develop layouts for new and existing office spaces and furniture to support moves and tenant improvement projects.Work with the MAC coordinator and furniture vendors to develop and execute move plans, including space assignments, occupancy planning, furniture reconfiguration, and employee relocations.Process new-hire, termination, and weekly move requests.Conduct audits to verify employee locations, furniture layouts, and room configurations are accurately reflected on floor plans.Assist the Strategic Occupancy Planning Team in implementing occupancy plans that optimize space utilization while meeting business requirements and corporate guidelines.Support the development and integration of space management tools, processes, standards, and policies to improve efficiency.Who we’re looking forMinimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline, such as architecture, interior design, corporate real estate and facilities management planning/coordination, facilities, or project or construction management; or 6 years and a Master’s degree; or a PhD with 3 years experience; or equivalent experience.Minimum of 6–8 years of related experience in move management, furniture project management, space planning, or interior architecture.Preferred qualificationsStrong spatial skills, with experience implementing workplace strategies and translating business requirements into space requirements for business units.Basic knowledge of building codes and related state and federal regulations and statutes, with the ability to inspect existing structures and determine the feasibility of renovations.General knowledge of systems furniture and modular furniture design, with demonstrated adherence to building regulations and health and safety guidelines.Proficiency with an IWMS/CAFM system (TRIRIGA).Proficiency with AutoCAD or a related program.Strong Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint skills.Ability to perform space and real estate data analysis.Collaborative team player who works well and respectfully with people at all levels.Ability to work autonomously, direct others as needed, and keep stakeholders informed of decisions.Proactive in taking ownership of requests, prioritizing workload and schedule to meet deadlines.Strong problem-solving and multitasking skills, with the ability to adapt to change.Confortable with minimal travel within the US.Our commitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential.
