Job summary

Lam Research Corporation in California (Livermore) seeks an Embedded/Business Analyst to drive process improvements within the Global Operations Analytics CoE for the Spares Planning unit. You will collect and analyze data, develop metrics, and translate requirements into technical specs while leading cross-functional teams.

You will have 8+ years in business applications, expertise in Power BI, SAP BO, SQL/HANA, and ERP like SAP ECC.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, mathematics, business administration, or engineering.
• 8+ years of experience designing and developing business applications in Global Operations.
• Experience creating data visualizations with Power BI or SAP BO.
• Exposure to SQL or HANA technologies.
• Experience with SAP ECC or ERP for Spares Planning.
• Advanced statistical techniques and data-driven problem solving.

Responsibilities

• Lead initiatives to improve operational excellence using data and strategic project plans.
• Perform detailed business analyses, develop insights, and deliver data-driven solutions.

The group you’ll be a part ofYou will be part of the Global Operations Analytics Team who will be supporting the Spares Planning business unit on various Analytics Initiatives.The impact you’ll makeJoin Lam as an Embedded/Business Analyst, where you'll spearhead process improvement initiatives. With your systems knowledge and business process acumen, you expertly collect and analyze data, evaluate processes, develop metrics, and identify root causes with data-driven indicators for future improvements. Organizing cross-functional project teams, you communicate team progress and survey best practices, showcasing your commitment to operational excellence at Lam.What you’ll doAs a member of the Global Operations - Analytics Center of Excellence (CoE) you will lead the initiatives to enhance operational excellence by leveraging data to develop and implement strategic project plans, requiring collaboration and influencing senior leaders for impactful results.Perform detailed business analysis, developing insights, and solutions for the supported business functions.Perform ad-hoc analysis for the functional stakeholders, as required.Develop a Functional Analytics Roadmap working with the CoE supporting the strategic objectives of the function(s).Develop a resource plan for the function(s) based on the roadmap.Act as a functional Single Point of Contact (SPOC) with the CoE to deliver roadmap/business needs by leading solutioning meetings, defining/prioritizing business requirements, translating the requirements into technical-functional specifications for the CoE to execute, participate in the UAT and post-production support.Technical and functional documentation of the developed solutions.Who we’re looking forBachelor's degree in computer science, Data Science Analytics, Mathematics, Business Administration, or Engineering.8 years of experience in design and development of business applications supporting various functions within Global Operations.Must have experience in developing data visualizations (reports & dashboards) using tools like Power BI, SAP Business Objects or similar tools.Exposure to programming languages in SQL or HANA Technologies.Experience with SAP ECC or other ERP applications for Spares Planning management.Advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, etc.)Analytical and problem-solving skills (creative idea generation / brainstorming / innovation).Experience utilizing technical and domain knowledge to develop and implement effective solutions.Evidence of subject matter expertise in functional domain (Project Lead, Line responsibility, Functional key contributor in Spares Planning.Collaborate with key business partners throughout the Global Operations network.Collaborate with Lam's offshore Apps Support team to exchange business and technical knowledge to help in overall growth of both the onsite and offshore teams while creating solutions that meet stakeholder expectations.Preferred qualificationsExperienced in mentoring to team members across all phases of the Systems Development Life Cycle (SDLC), leveraging Agile methodologies.Evidence of strong communication skills on technical and business topics using written, verbal, and/or presentation materials as necessary.5+ years of experience in developing data visualizations (reports & dashboards) using tools like Power BI8+ years of experience with programming in SQL, or HANA Technologies.8+ years of experience with SAP ECC or other ERP applications for Spares PlanningKnowledge of advanced statistical techniques and concepts (regression, properties of distributions, statistical tests, etc.).Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.Jira and Agile Methodology and APICS (CPIM) Certification is a plus.Our commitmentWe believe it is important for every person to feel valued, included, and empowered to achieve their full potential. Salary offers will depend on factors that include the location you work from, your level, education, training, specific skills, years of experience and comparison to other employees already in this role.
