AFC Urgent Care Northeast Portland is hiring a Medical Assistant to support Occupational Medicine services in a fast-paced clinic on NE Sandy Blvd, Portland. Pay is 22-26+ USD per hour based on experience, full-time (~40 hours/week), Mon-Fri 8:00am-4:30pm.

You’ll draw blood, administer vaccines, perform EKGs, and coordinate Occ Med scheduling and EMR documentation. Experience in a medical office is preferred; training is available.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Certificate from a Certified Medical Assistant program.
• 1+ year experience in a medical office, preferred (urgent care experience is a bonus).

Responsabilités

• Work as Medical Assistant to complete weekly Occ Med appointments and all follow up work as needed.
• Dive into occupational health services and physicals — from start to finish.
• Show off your clinical skills: draw blood, give vaccines, run drug screens, and set up EKGs like a pro.
• Assists in training of staff for new Occ Med accounts where new forms/tests are being performed.
• Work with all Occ Med patients on Clockwise/scheduling queue and own your queue of visits.
• Ensures appointments are set correctly on schedule and that authorization forms or protocols are followed.
• Complete all Occ Med scanning into EMR; results within 24 hours of visit and send to employers.
• Occ Med equipment calibration and maintenance; stock supplies and communicate issues to managers.
• Be the right hand to providers, manage triage, and assist at front desk when needed.
• Communicate between clinics, clients, and Sales/Managers; follow policies and drive process improvements.
