Obstetrics Registered Nurse (OB RN) - Summary

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the obstetric unit, including labor, delivery, and postpartum care
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, and healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Support patients and families through the childbirth process with expertise and empathy
• Ensure all care is delivered in accordance with established policies, procedures, and best practices

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor maternal and fetal well-being throughout labor and delivery
• Administer medications, monitor vital signs, and assess patient conditions
• Assist with labor induction, delivery procedures, and postpartum recovery
• Educate patients and families regarding the childbirth process, postpartum care, and newborn care
• Maintain accurate and timely patient records and documentation
• Address patient concerns and provide compassionate support throughout the hospital stay
• Follow infection control protocols and maintain a safe clinical environment
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license
• Demonstrated experience in obstetric nursing, labor and delivery, or related clinical settings
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
• Excellent communication and patient education abilities
• Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
