Openwork Health is seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN, L&D) to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced maternity unit. You will monitor mother and baby, respond to emergencies, and provide compassionate support to families throughout the childbirth process.

The ideal candidate holds an active RN license with L&D experience, BLS and ACLS certifications, strong assessment and communication skills, and a collaborative mindset.

Labor and Delivery Registered Nurse (RN, L&D) - Summary

• Provide expert care for patients in the labor and delivery unit, ensuring safety and comfort for mothers and newborns.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to implement and monitor individualized patient care plans.
• Utilize advanced clinical skills to respond to emergencies and evolving patient needs.
• Document all aspects of patient care accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and regulatory standards.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Monitor vital signs and fetal heart rates, interpreting data and reporting critical findings.
• Administer medications, intravenous fluids, and perform necessary procedures as ordered by physicians.
• Assist patients and families in understanding the labor and delivery process, providing education and emotional support.
• Prepare delivery rooms and ensure all necessary equipment and supplies are available and functioning.
• Support physicians and midwives during labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum care.
• Advocate for patient safety and comfort throughout the childbirth experience.
• Work collaboratively with other nurses, support staff, and allied health professionals.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Current and valid Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Demonstrated experience in labor and delivery nursing.
• Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) as required by the facility.
