Qualifications
- Master's degree or higher including coursework in nursing, education or administration.
- Direct patient care experience within the last five years in the designated nursing area.
- Experience teaching courses related to registered nursing or a post-baccalaureate teaching course.
Responsibilities
- Providing instruction per established curriculum, outlines and schedules.
- Maintaining a learning-focused environment and encouraging critical thinking.
- Evaluating student progress and recording grades.
- Meeting with students outside of class as needed.
- Upholding professional conduct and ethics.
- Maintaining current knowledge in nursing topics.
- Fulfilling responsibilities of a part-time/temporary faculty member.
- Maintaining accurate academic records.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.
