Chair, Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Women's Health

Saint Louis University (SLU) School of Medicine and SSM Health's SLUCare Physician Group are seeking an accomplished physician leader to serve as the Department Chair of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health (OB/GYN).

The department provides comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to women in the greater St. Louis metropolitan area and Southern Illinois. The faculty comprises excellent physicians and educators, many engaged in recognized research activities in women's health.

The mission of the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Women's Health is to achieve excellence in:

• Professional education, including undergraduate, graduate, and continuing medical education, allied health professional education, and patient and community education.
• Patient care, encompassing primary health care needs of women and full-spectrum specialty services with expertise in every aspect of obstetrics and gynecology.
• Research, including biological investigation, clinical research, and health services research.

The department offers an ACGME-accredited obstetrics and gynecology residency and a maternal-fetal medicine fellowship within the SSM Health/Saint Louis School of Medicine residency program. With the 2022 integration of the Saint Louis University School of Medicine physician practice organization (SLUCare) into SSM Health, the department is positioned for growth across education, research, and patient care.
