Position Details

1. OB/GYN Laborist

4. Inpatient responsibilities
5. Flexible schedule of 7 to 8 (24-hour) shifts per month
6. Providing inpatient OB/GYN floor consultations and emergency room coverage
7. Managing the obstetric unit
8. Performing obstetric triage
9. Weekend cross-coverage with other local collaborative groups
10. Level 3 Neonatology Intensive Care Unit with well-infant nursery
11. Family Birthing Center with 20 private rooms and approximately 1,600 annual deliveries

The team includes talented obstetrics and gynecology physicians, neonatology/nurse midwives, and nurse practitioners/physician assistants. The partnership with Connecticut Children's Medical Center supports the Level III Neonatology (NICU) Unit, with expert neonatologists, nurses, lactation consultants, pediatricians, therapists, respiratory therapists, and social workers.
