Job description

Our client, a diverse and community-centric organization, seeks an OB/GYN Hospitalist for in-house obstetrical physician coverage. They are looking for a physician dedicated to improving the health and wellness of families who reside on the West Side and Southwest Side of Chicago.

Hospital services include a Level II NICU, full-time anesthesia, and a dedicated OB emergency department. The hospital has one of the lowest c-section rates in Chicago and offers a full range of Maternal Fetal Medicine, educational, and support services.

Position Highlights:

1. Work 6 to 8 shifts per month, in 24-hour or 12-hour shifts on labor and delivery
2. The schedule would align with employed physicians' shifts
3. No call when not on shift
4. Provide clinical supervision for Certified Nurse Midwives and collaborate with Outpatient Clinic OB/GYN Providers and Laborists
5. Manage unassigned patient admissions/deliveries and emergency department OB/GYN consultations
6. Serve as first-assistant for surgical procedures, as needed
7. Perform emergency room consults and emergent Gynecologic surgeries as needed
8. Support Midwife laborists, performing C-sections and managing high-risk patients

Salary/Benefits:

1. Salary starts at $270,000 with hourly incentive pay for extra shifts
