Job summary

Adelphi Medical Staffing is seeking a Board Certified OB/GYN for on-site coverage in Socorro, NM. The role includes Labor & Delivery, gynecologic surgeries, and rotating night and weekend call with a physician team of two OBGYNs.

Responsibilities cover low- to high-risk obstetrics, FHR interpretation, and assisting with complex deliveries. Hospital privileges and temporary privileges available; immunization requirements apply.

Qualifications

• BC/BE required and board certified in obstetrics/gynecology.
• On-call duties include night and weekend coverage.
• Experience in Labor & Delivery and gynecology surgeries preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide obstetric and gynecologic patient care in Labor & Delivery.
• Perform and assist in obstetric procedures (C-section, vaginal delivery, etc.).
• Coordinate with RN, MA and surgical team during calls and deliveries.

• Procedures:
  - Labor & Delivery: Low-risk pregnancy (pre-existing problems, history of twins, toxemia, pyelonephritis, hyperemesis); FHR interpretation (NST/CST/FSE); OB ultrasounds (Level I/screening, Level II/targeted); routine delivery (vaginal, low forceps, C-section decision-making); complicated delivery (C-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions); repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations
  - Gynecology: Surgical gynecology (D&C, hysterectomy, uterine suspension, anterior/posterior repair, tumor resection, incontinence/infertility procedures, bowel injury repair, appendectomy); laparoscopic diagnostic/minor (tubal ligation, LOA's, chromal tubation); operative/major (ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, extensive LOA's)
