Job summary

adelphi Medical Staffing seeks a Board-eligible Obstetrics & Gynecology physician for a locum tenens assignment in Washington, MO. The role supports inpatient obstetric services with ongoing vacancy coverage.

You will provide weekend call coverage (Fri 5pm–Mon 5am), handle routine and high-risk deliveries, perform cesarean sections, and collaborate with the nursing team and other providers in an Epic environment.

Qualifications

• Board eligible in obstetrics and gynecology required.
• Licensed to practice in Missouri (MO).
• BLS, ACLS, PALS certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Provide weekend coverage for labor and delivery unit.
• Manage routine and high-risk deliveries including cesarean sections.
• Provide gynecologic consultations and minor procedures.
• Collaborate with nursing staff and other providers.

REQUIRED PROCEDURES

• Low risk pregnancy
• High risk pregnancy
• FHR interpretation - NST/CST/FSE
• OB Ultrasounds (Level I/Screening (viability), Level II/Targeted (anatomic), Amniocentesis)
• Routine delivery (Vaginal, Low forceps)
• Decision-making for c-section
• Complicated delivery (C-section, Breech, Multiple births, Abruptions, VBAC's, Repair of 3rd & 4th degree lacerations)
• Office/minor gynecology - IUD, Cystoscopy, Colposcopy, cryosurgery, LEEP, etc.
• Surgical gynecology (Open, Laparoscopic diagnostic/minor only - tubal ligation, LOA's, chronal tubation, Operative/major (includes diagnostic) - ectopic pregnancy, ovary removal, cystectomy, etc.)
