Overview

Tufts Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, are seeking a Chair of Obstetrics and Gynecology to lead our OB/GYN department and serve as the academic leader for Tufts Medicine. This leadership role involves shaping the strategy and operations of women’s health across our system, reporting directly to the President of the Faculty Practice and the Dean/Chief Academic Officer.

Key Responsibilities

• Advance the strategic vision for Tufts Medical Center’s OB/GYN programs.
• Build and integrate OB/GYN services for Tufts Medicine.
• Coordinate with related service leaders to support academic and clinical missions, including research, education, and faculty development.
• Promote health equity and ensure equitable access to OB/GYN services.
• Lead practices focused on quality improvement, clinical efficiency, and patient value.
• Collaborate with clinical and operational leaders to maintain value-based care models and industry relationships.

Our OB/GYN services include holistic care in Boston, Braintree, and Norwood, with specialized clinics such as the Asian Access OB/GYN Clinic, Maternal Fetal Medicine, gynecology, minimally invasive surgery, urogynecology, and gynecologic oncology.
