Job summary

HCA Houston Healthcare Tomball is seeking a Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist to join a collaborative obstetric and surgical team focused on safe newborn care and high-quality patient outcomes.

The role involves preparing the surgical suite, assisting during obstetric procedures, maintaining sterile technique, and supporting patient comfort and safety, with access to mentorship and growth opportunities.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technology program or military equivalent training in the Surgical Technologist role is required.
• Certification in Surgical Technology is required.
• Current BCLS certification from the American Heart Association required.
• 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience is Required.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies.
• Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety.
• Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures.
• Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly.
• Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience.
