Job summary

HCA Healthcare in Texas seeks a Certified Obstetric Surgical Technologist to join a collaborative obstetric team. You will prepare the surgical suite, assist with patient positioning and draping, and provide instruments and hands-on support during obstetric procedures.

This role offers on-the-job training, mentorship, and growth pathways. Must have CST or TS-C NCCT certification per Texas HB 643; non-certified candidates may qualify with 1 year hospital experience.

Qualifications

• High School graduate or GED equivalent.
• Graduate of a surgical technologist program OR hires prior to 9/1/2009 may substitute with 1-year experience in a hospital setting as a surgical technologist.

Responsibilities

• Preparing the surgical suite and organizing instruments, equipment, and supplies to support safe, efficient procedures
• Assisting with patient positioning, prepping, and draping while maintaining comfort, privacy, and safety
• Providing instruments, equipment, and hands-on support to the surgical team during obstetric procedures
• Maintaining a sterile field, performing counts, and ensuring instruments and equipment function properly
• Working closely with the surgical team to deliver patient-centered care and a seamless surgical experience
