Job summary

Catholic Health in New York is seeking an Obstetric Registered Nurse to provide antepartum, obstetric, and post-partum care for mother/baby pairs. You will collaborate with physicians, RNs and staff to optimize outcomes, document progress, and support families with education and bonding.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year RN in obstetric/nursery/post-partum, 2-3 years medical/surgical nursing, and NY RN license with BLS and NRP. BSN preferred; associates considered if enrolled in BSN program.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of RN experience in obstetric, nursery, or post-partum care.
• 2-3 years of medical/surgical nursing experience.
• Education: BSN degree
• Associates Degree considered if enrolled in accredited BSN program
• Licensure: New York RN license and registration
• Certification: BLS and NRP required

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage antepartum, obstetric, and post-partum care for mother/baby pairs.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and educate patients and families, including bonding and lactation support.
