Job summary

Catholic Health in New York is seeking an Obstetric Registered Nurse to provide antepartum, obstetric, and post-partum care for mother/baby pairs. You will collaborate with physicians, RNs and staff to optimize outcomes, document progress, and support families with education and bonding.

The ideal candidate has 1+ year RN in obstetric/nursery/post-partum, 2-3 years medical/surgical nursing, and NY RN license with BLS and NRP. BSN preferred; associates considered if enrolled in BSN program.

Qualifications

• Education: BSN degree
• Associates Degree considered if enrolled in accredited BSN program

Our Obstetric RN's

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress, and manage overall antepartum, obstetric, and post-partum care for couplets of stable mothers and babies.
• Partner with an interdisciplinary team including, but not limited to, attending physicians, registered nurses (RN), and ancillary staff to optimize patient outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for and build meaningful relationships with patients and their loved ones through safety intervention, emotional support and education (including bonding and lactation).

What You’ll Bring

• Passion for Mother/Baby Nursing
• 1+ years of Registered Nurse (RN) experience in an obstetric, nursery, or post-partum unit.
• 2-3 yrs of medical/surgical nursing experience
• Education: Bachelors of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Will consider Associates Degree if enrolled in an accredited BSN program
• Licensure: New York Registered Nurse (RN) License & Registration
• Certification: Basic Life Support (BLS) required, Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) required

Salary Range

USD $56.39 - USD $77.34 /Hr. This range serves as a good faith estimate and actual pay will encompass a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience. The salary range or rate listed does not include any bonuses/incentive, differential pay or other forms of compensation that may be applicable to this job and it does not include the value of benefits.
