Catholic Health's Nursery RN role on Long Island focuses on antepartum, obstetric and post-partum care for mother-baby couplets, delivered through a collaborative care team.

Ideal candidates have 1+ year obstetric/nursery/post-partum RN experience, 2–3 years medical/surgical nursing, and a BSN (Associates accepted if in BSN program). New York RN license with BLS and NRP is required. We support growth and education.

Qualifications

• 1+ year of RN experience in obstetric, nursery, or post-partum care.
• 2-3 years of medical/surgical nursing experience.
• BSN degree required; associates considered if enrolled in BSN program.
• New York RN license & registration required.
• BLS and NRP certifications required.

Responsibilities

• Assess, monitor, administer medication, document progress for antepartum, obstetric and post-partum care of mother-baby couplets.
• Collaborate with physicians, RNs and staff to optimize outcomes and satisfaction.
• Advocate for patients and families with safety, support and education including bonding and lactation.
