Job summary

Baptist Health Boca Raton Regional Hospital is seeking an OB Technician to join the surgical services team. You will prepare, organize and monitor the sterile field under the supervision of a surgeon and RN, assisting in vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries and other GYN procedures.

You will also support newborn nursery and postpartum units as needed. The role requires a High School Diploma or GED, Basic Life Support and 3-5 years’ experience preferred with certification preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Basic Life Support certification required.
• Graduate Scrub Technician Training Program preferred.
• 3-5 years experience preferred.
• Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, organize and monitor the sterile field environment under the direction of a surgeon and RN.
• Perform OB technician duties for vaginal and cesarean deliveries and other GYN surgeries.
• Maintain equipment and supply inventory for unit safety and efficiency.
• Assist in newborn nursery and postpartum units as needed.
• Respond to patient care needs in a timely manner.

Description

Prepares, organizes and monitors the sterile field environment under the direction of a surgeon and registered nurse for assigned surgical case. The OB Tech will perform the following duties under the direct supervision of a registered nurse. Performs OB technician duties for vaginal deliveries, cesarean deliveries, and other GYN surgical procedures. Maintains equipment and supply inventory to insure optimal safety, efficiency, and timely response to patient care needs within the unit. Assists in Newborn nursery and postpartum units as needed and directed.

Estimated pay range for this position is $26.65 - $34.65 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

Degrees:

• High School,Cert,GED,Trn,Exper.

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support.

Additional Qualifications

• Graduate of Scrub Technician Training Program Preferred.
• 3- 5 years experience preferred
• Certification Preferred.
