Job summary

Baptist Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to support operating room teams in a fast-paced setting. You will prepare, organize, and monitor the sterile field for assigned surgical cases/deliveries under the direction of a surgeon and a registered nurse.

Responsibilities include assisting the surgeon and nurse as directed, maintaining sterile technique, and upholding quality patient care. Minimum requirements include a high school diploma or equivalent and Basic Life Support certification.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, Certificate, training or experience required.
• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification required.

Description

Prepares, organizes and monitors the sterile field environment under the direction of a surgeon and a registered nurse for assigned surgical cases/deliveries. Provides assistance to the surgeon/physician and registered nurse as directed. Estimated pay range for this position is $26.50 - $32.46 / hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, Certificate, GED, training or experience required

Licenses & Certifications

• Basic Life Support.

Additional Qualifications

• Graduate of a Surgical Technologist Program Preferred.
• Six (6) months of surgical technologist experience preferred.
• Certification preferred.

Minimum Required Experience: Less than 1 year
