Job summary

HonorHealth seeks a Patient Care Technician in the Observation Unit at Deer Valley, Phoenix, AZ. The role supports ED-adjacent care with direct patient tasks, including daily living activities, vital signs, and documentation, under licensed supervision.

In-person, full-time day shifts (6:00 AM–6:30 PM) with 3–12 hour rotations and self-scheduling are offered. Applicants should have a High School Diploma or GED and 6 months of healthcare experience within the last year; BLS is required, CNA/EMT

Qualifications

• Requires High School Diploma or GED.
• 6 months of healthcare experience in the last year is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required.
• CNA/EMT preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under supervision of a licensed caregiver.
• Observe and report changes in patient condition to the licensed caregiver.
• Maintain accurate medical record documentation of care delivered.
• Assist with activities of daily living and vital signs as directed.
• Assist with intake and output, ambulation, and basic interventions.
