Job summary

St. Joseph’s Health in New York State is seeking a part-time Registered Nurse for acute observation units, with a focus on chest pain, syncope and post‑operative care. The role spans direct patient care and supervision within a network that values growth, well-being, and work-life balance.

Qualifications

RN with < 1-year experience should apply to the RN Nurse Residency positions.
Graduation from an accredited school of nursing and current licensure in the State of New York.
BSN degree preferred, per NYS requirements.
Maintains licensures and certifications according to NYS regulations and specialty area requirements.
Participates in continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.

Responsibilities

Collaborate, communicate & facilitate optimal provision of care through a computerized/digital platform.
Assess, plan, implement, coordinate, monitor & evaluate the patient’s plan of care from admission to discharge.
Utilize clinical knowledge and critical thinking to coordinate and support the plan of care.
Monitor quality metrics and ensure complete and accurate documentation in the patient record.
Ensure quality care in accordance with NY regulatory agencies and nursing standards.
Maintain knowledge of health care economics and reimbursement methodologies and apply daily.
