Qualifications

• Licensed Registered Professional Nurse (RN) – Illinois IDFPR.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association.

Responsibilities

• Performs all responsibilities and duties required by unit as specific to the scope of service.
• Implements procedures and theories related to the specific area of practice.
• Maintains up-to-date documentation of nursing care provided for the healthcare team.
• Completes initial patient assessments and develops plans of care.
• Implements and modifies plan of care based on patient status.
• Ensures patient and staff safety and reports hazards.
• Delivers patient medications using the 5 Rights.
• Communicates with the healthcare team for coordinated care.
• Supports prompt admission/discharge for observation patients.
