Job summary

Banner Health's Observation Unit in Gilbert, Arizona is seeking a Registered Nurse to assess, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for patients. This full-time role covers three 12-hour day shifts per week from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM, with self-scheduling for weekends and an 18% night differential plus a $3/hour weekend differential.

You will work in a Magnet-recognized facility with advanced technology, electronic medical records and a supportive team focused on delivering high-quality patient

Qualifications

• Current RN license in the state where you practice.
• BLS certification is required.
• BSN degree preferred for this role.
• Experience in an acute care hospital setting is desired.
• Ability to work three 12-hour day shifts per week.

Responsibilities

• Assess patient physical, psychological, social, spiritual, educational, developmental, cultural and discharge planning needs.
• Formulates a plan of care, including the discharge plan, utilizing assessment data and input from patient/family.
• Implements the plan of care through direct patient care, coordination and supervision of the health care team.
• Evaluates the patient and family response to care and teaching and revises the plan accordingly.
• Documents assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation in the patient record.
