Job summary

University of Maryland Medical System Corporation seeks a Registered Nurse for the Observation Emergency Department. This part-time day shift (7:00 am–7:30 pm) position offers a $9,000 sign-on bonus where restrictions may apply and requires active Maryland RN licensure or eligibility.

Candidates should have 12+ months of nursing experience, current BLS and ACLS, and unit-specific certifications as required.

Qualifications

• Maryland RN licensure or eligibility under MD compact rules.
• Minimum 12 months nursing experience with solid knowledge and clinical skills.
• Current AHA BLS and ACLS certification required.
• Must meet unit-specific certification requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide independent care to patients within the clinical specialty and coordinate with the multidisciplinary team.
• Serve as a clinical resource for others and apply evidence-based practice.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to plan and coordinate care, advocating for patient/family needs.
• Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and contribute to quality and safety initiatives.
