Tradeweb Markets is offering an internship with the Reliability & Observability Engineering team in Institutional Fixed Income Technology. You will build data pipelines, develop monitoring tools, and ship real changes to live environments.

You’ll work with Terraform, Kubernetes on AWS, and React/TypeScript front ends, guided by mentors and paired with a dedicated manager. You will contribute to dashboards, alerts, and telemetry analysis while learning how a live trading platform runs in

Qualifications

• Undergraduate or master's student in CS/CE or related field.
• Knowledge of programming languages: C, C++, Java, Python.
• Interest in building large-scale, real-time distributed applications.
• Willing to own work, work independently or in a small team.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills.
• Comfort with Linux and Git.
• Exposure to AWS, containers/Kubernetes, SQL, or React/TypeScript is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain data pipelines shipping logs/metrics to observability platform.
• Develop internal full-stack monitoring tools: React/TypeScript front ends, Python/Kotlin services.
• Write infrastructure as code (Terraform) and deploy to Kubernetes on AWS via GitLab CI/ArgoCD.
• Create and tune dashboards and alerts for on-call engineers.
• Investigate gaps in monitoring coverage and onboard new hosts/services.
• Analyze telemetry data to reduce cost and improve query performance.
• Participate in code review, merge requests, and agile ceremonies.
