Job summary

TransMarket Group L.L.C. seeks a DevOps/SRE intern to work across the technology stack, building systems that automate building, testing, and deploying latency-sensitive trading applications.

You will help design and implement critical back-office data flows and platforms to accelerate development while balancing reliability and innovation. The role involves collaborating with Traders and IT to automate deployment, configuration management, CI/CD pipelines, and monitoring.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a BA/BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology or related field.
• Proficient in Python (or similar language) at interview time.
• Familiar with code collaboration tools (GitLab, GitHub, Bitbucket).
• Understanding of container technology (Docker).
• Basic knowledge of infrastructure management tools (Ansible or Puppet).
• Awareness of CI/CD tools (GitLab CI/CD, GitHub Actions, Jenkins).
• Basic monitoring knowledge (Prometheus, Grafana).
• Preferred: database design/administration and interest in finance.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support of the firm’s proprietary trading software environment.
• Collaborate with Traders and Platform Developers to automate deployment, configuration management, CI/CD, and backtesting pipelines.
• Design monitoring and alerting to diagnose issues in real time and maintain health of trading systems.
• Build and maintain continuous delivery pipelines for trading platform components.
• Develop infrastructure monitoring and alerting to enable rapid issue diagnosis.
