Job summary

PGTEK is seeking an Observability Engineer to design, implement, and maintain observability solutions in an OpsRamp-based environment for a Federal customer. You will work with development and operations teams to ensure robust monitoring, alerting, and performance insights across cloud infrastructure.

Candidates should have strong experience with OpsRamp, Prometheus, Docker and Kubernetes, scripting in Python/Go, SQL/NoSQL, and a DoD 8570/8140 security certification; active Secret clearance is

Qualifications

• Experience designing, implementing, and maintaining observability solutions.
• Strong knowledge of OpsRamp platform and integrations.
• Experience with cloud platforms and container tech (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Scripting in Python, Go, or Bash; SQL/NoSQL databases.
• Active Secret clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain observability solutions with OpsRamp as core platform.
• Integrate OpsRamp with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Datadog, Elastic Stack.
• Develop automated workflows and remediation actions.
• Configure data sources, KPIs, log management, and dashboards.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to resolve incidents.
