Job summary

Baptist Health Medical Group in Barbourville, KY is hiring a Medical Assistant for our outpatient clinic. The role provides direct patient care and clinical support with a sign-on bonus reserved for eligible new hires.

You will obtain vital signs, collect patient history, reconcile medications, and support clinic flow while managing the EPIC EHR. Training and orientation are provided, with potential for additional responsibilities after competency.

Qualifications

• Hands-on patient care experience including vitals, history, and medications.
• Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant training program with hands-on patient care is required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain vital signs.
• Reconcile medications for each patient.
• Collect patient history and document.
• Facilitate patient flow within the clinic.
• Manage the EPIC electronic health record.
• Schedule appointments and coordinate tests.
• Process medication requests and handle prior authorizations.
• Coordinate tests and procedures.
• Upon competency, perform EKGs, phlebotomy, injections or labs as needed.
