Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health in the United States is seeking a Medical Assistant II to support ambulatory practice operations. The MAII will greet patients, take vitals, perform EKGs, injections and phlebotomy, and assist providers in a fast-paced clinical setting.

You will train with MA students and practice assistants, manage documentation, update EMR records, and ensure accurate charting while maintaining high levels of customer service and compliance.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Certificate 1 Medical Assistant Certificate required.
• 1-3 years related work experience required.
• Experience with computer systems including web based applications and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Greets patients and serves as a communication resource.
• Obtains vitals, weight, blood pressure, pulse and temperature; performs EKGs, injections and phlebotomy.
• Assists providers and ensures availability of x-rays, lab slips, medical records and other pertinent info.
• Maintains patient records in EMR and updates medication lists per policy.
• Seeks assistance from supervisor as needed.
