New York Health (NYH) seeks a Medical Assistant - OBGYN (Float) to support Port Jefferson, Patchogue, Smithtown and Wading River sites. You will manage patient intakes, collect specimens, record vitals, and assist during examinations.

The role requires a Medical Assistant certificate and a high school diploma; EMR familiarity is preferred. You must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and have reliable transportation to NYH locations.

Qualifications

• Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma.
• Proficiency with an EMR system preferred.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Reliable transportation to NYH locations for patient care needs.

Responsabilités

• Manage patient intakes, ensure accurate information recording.
• Collect and process lab specimens, including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.
• Record patients' vital signs.
• Prepare patients for examinations.
• Sterilize medical equipment and instruments.
• Assist providers and other support staff in the data entry process.
• Assist physicians during visits with examinations and all office procedures.
• Perform EKGs and point-of-care testing.
• Other duties as assigned.
