Job summary

New York Health (NYH) is seeking a Medical Assistant for the OBGYN float role in Port Jefferson, Patchogue, and Smithtown, NY. You will manage patient intakes, collect samples, record vital signs, and assist during visits with a focus on safe, efficient clinics.

The role requires a Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma, with EMR experience preferred. Full-time hours are Mon-Fri, 7:30am-8pm, offering competitive hourly pay and comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• Must have Medical Assistant Certificate and a High School Diploma.
• Proficiency with an EMR system is preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and travel to NYH locations.
• Prolonged periods of sitting/standing and exposure to clinical environments.

Responsibilities

• Manage patient intakes and record accurate information.
• Collect and process lab specimens including venipuncture and diagnostic tests.
• Record patients' vital signs and prepare for examinations.
