University of Maryland, Baltimore is seeking a BC/BE Academic Specialist in General Obstetrics and Gynecology with expertise or interest in Gynecologic Ultrasound to join the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences. The position supports clinical care, teaching, and research within an academic medical center.

The successful candidate will practice at on- and off-campus sites, contribute to resident and medical student education, and advance the gynecologic ultrasound

  • Board-eligible/board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, with the ability to obtain an unrestricted medical license in Maryland.
  • Two years of relevant experience preferred.

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences at the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) seeks a full-time BC/BE Academic Specialist in General Obstetrics and Gynecology with expertise or a strong interest in Gynecologic Ultrasound.

The successful applicant will provide the full scope of General Obstetrics and Gynecology while contributing to the department's growing gynecologic ultrasound program. Candidates who currently interpret gynecologic ultrasound studies or have a demonstrated interest in developing expertise in gynecologic imaging are strongly encouraged to apply. Professional development opportunities in gynecologic ultrasound are available for qualified candidates.

The Division of General OB/GYN has a strong urban, community-based clinical program within the context of a nationally recognized academic medical center. The successful candidate will provide outstanding patient care in both on- and off-campus locations, participate in resident and medical student education, contribute to clinical and academic initiatives, and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to advance women's healthcare.

Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor or higher; however, final academic rank and tenure status will be commensurate with the selected candidate's experience.

Position Information

Position Title: OBGYN Generalist
Department/Division/School: Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences/University of Maryland School of Medicine
Salary Range: $235,000-$420,000

Employment at UMB is contingent upon successful completion of a background check. A background check does not automatically disqualify a candidate from employment. The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximum salaries for this position and is based on the University of Maryland School of Medicine’s good faith belief at the time of posting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions, education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined by the University.
