Job summary

The University of Maryland School of Medicine invites a full-time BC/BE Academic Specialist in General Obstetrics and Gynecology with interest in Gynecologic Ultrasound to join the Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciences.

The successful candidate will provide general OB/GYN care, contribute to the gynecologic ultrasound program, participate in education and research, and collaborate with multidisciplinary colleagues to advance women's health.

Qualifications

  • Two years of relevant experience preferred

Job description

The Department of Obstetrics, Gynecology and Reproductive Sciencesat the University of Maryland School of Medicine (UMSOM) seeks afull-time BC/BE Academic Specialist in General Obstetrics andGynecology with expertise or a strong interest in GynecologicUltrasound.

The successful applicant will provide the full scope of GeneralObstetrics and Gynecology while contributing to the department'sgrowing gynecologic ultrasound program. Candidates who currentlyinterpret gynecologic ultrasound studies or have a demonstratedinterest in developing expertise in gynecologic imaging arestrongly encouraged to apply. Professional developmentopportunities in gynecologic ultrasound are available for qualifiedcandidates.

The Division of General OB/GYN has a strong urban, community-basedclinical program within the context of a nationally recognizedacademic medical center. The successful candidate will provideoutstanding patient care in both on- and off-campus locations,participate in resident and medical student education, contributeto clinical and academic initiatives, and collaborate withmultidisciplinary colleagues to advance women's healthcare.

Expected rank for this position will be Assistant Professor orhigher; however, final academic rank and tenure status will becommensurate with the selected candidate's experience.

Position Information

Position Title: OBGYN Generalist

Salary Range: $235,000- $420,000

Background Checks

The referenced salary range reflects base pay, which is based onfaculty rank and years in rank. This salary range does not includeall components of the departmental faculty compensation program orpay from participation in departmental variable compensationprograms. Therefore, the actual compensation paid to the selectedcandidate may vary from the salary range stated herein. For moreinformation, please contact the hiring department.

The referenced salary range represents the minimum and maximumsalaries for this position and is based on the University ofMaryland School of Medicine's good faith belief at the time ofposting. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. The actual compensation offered to the selected candidate may vary and will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location,skills, work experience, internal equity, market conditions,education/training and other factors, as reasonably determined bythe University.
