Job summary

RWJBarnabas Health in Belleville, NJ is seeking a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) for our OBGYN department. This hourly position supports providers, prepares patients, and helps ensure smooth clinic flow with a patient-centered approach.

The ideal candidate holds an active CMA credential, BLS certification, and at least 2 years of OBGYN CMA experience, with Epic EMR experience preferred and bilingual abilities a plus. Monday–Friday, day shift, with a focus on quality care and teamwork.

Qualifications

Must possess CMA credential and current BLS certification.
Minimum 2 years CMA experience in OBGYN preferred.
Experience with EMR systems (Epic) is required; bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examinations, obtain vital signs, and document medical histories.
Assist physicians during examinations and procedures.
Administer injections, collect specimens, and perform point-of-care testing.
Document patient information and test results in the EMR.
Coordinate patient flow and maintain exam room readiness.
Educate patients on medications, treatment plans, and follow-up care.
