Job summary

The University of Chicago is seeking Advanced Practice Providers (APP/APN) in OBG to join a high-demand Labor & Delivery focused team. You will perform autonomous assessments, diagnoses, and delegated treatments, working closely with attending physicians and a multidisciplinary staff.

Responsibilities include managing well-woman and post-operative care, ordering labs, and contributing to teaching and research. Experience in obstetrics is preferred and state licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualifications include Illinois licensure/registration (APN, RN, or PA) and eligibility for privileges.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant clinical experience in obstetrics/gynecology or related field.
• Current and/or eligible for State of Illinois licensure/registration and credentialing through the Medical Staff Office.
• Preferred advanced nursing degree and completion of an accredited PA educational program.
• Proven ability to collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct primary health care to patients in collaboration with the physician and health team.
• Conduct comprehensive or episodic health assessments and develop care plans.
• Order, schedule, and explain laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.
• Prescribe medications and manage treatment plans within delegated privileges.
• Participate in Labor & Delivery rounds and patient management; engage in teaching and mentorship.
