Job summary

Amgen is seeking an Obesity Forecasting Associate Director to lead forecasting for the Obesity brand in Thousand Oaks, reporting to the Obesity Forecasting Director within the Obesity Intelligence & Analytics team.

You will coordinate with forecasting, marketing, finance and other functions to develop analytics inputs, manage multiple projects, and deliver objective, data-driven insights for strategic decision making.

Qualifications

• Doctorate degree with analytics/forecasting experience required.
• Master’s degree with analytics/forecasting experience required.
• Bachelor’s degree with analytics/forecasting experience required.
• Associate’s degree with analytics/forecasting experience required.
• High school diploma with analytics/forecasting experience required.

Responsibilities

• Provide objective, rigorous forecasting views across demand and product performance.
• Lead development of obesity forecasts and ad-hoc requests.
• Analyze product performance vs. expectations, estimating revenue, market size, and penetration.
• Utilize internal/external data (Xponent, NPA, LAAD, 852, etc.) for forecast assumptions.
• Support Quarterly Business Review and Brand Plan with data-driven insights.
• Coordinate with marketing, finance, and cross-functional teams on inputs and assumptions.
• Develop SLAs with clients to outline forecasting/analytics requirements.
• Independently lead quick turnaround projects with limited oversight.
• Demonstrate strong PM, prioritization, and timeline execution.
• Manage relationships with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
• Communicate effectively; strong PowerPoint & Excel skills.
