Job summary

Amgen is seeking an OI&A Commercial Analytics Director to lead strategic analytics for the U.S. Obesity business from the Thousand Oaks site. You will translate complex market, patient, and performance data into actionable recommendations for senior leadership and cross-functional teams.

You will shape the secondary analytics agenda, drive launch readiness, and ensure governance of new data sources and AI-enabled tools while partnering with marketing, sales, finance, and medical groups.

Qualifications

• Significant experience using secondary data and advanced analytics to influence commercial strategy in biopharma/healthcare.
• Ability to advise senior leaders by translating complex evidence into clear recommendations.
• Strong commercial acumen with market development/launch experience.
• Defined ambiguous problems and delivered structured analytical approaches.
• Experience integrating prescription, claims, patient and payer data.
• Led analytics/automation initiatives from concept to adoption.
• Led cross-functional teams, managed external partners, accountable for results.
• Exceptional written, verbal, facilitation and visual communication for executives.
• Experience in obesity or cardiometabolic/general medicine launches preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve as analytics leader for US Obesity, translating data into business recommendations.
• Lead secondary analytics agenda aligned with launch milestones and commercial decisions.
• Integrate internal/external data to generate actionable insights on behavior and performance.
• Translate findings into brand strategy, targeting, and resource allocation.
• Lead executive performance management and high-priority analyses.
• Collaborate across Marketing, Sales, Finance, and other orgs to align assumptions.
• Direct analytics resources with clear priorities and accountability.
• Advance analytics capabilities with new data sources and AI governance.
